I'm wondering how to get started making my own temp (unless i can buy
an easy temp to create off someone) I scanned in (1200dpi) a MA id.

Does anyone know the exact font? Where to get the font?

Anyone know the mixture for the holos?

Can anyone give me a couple tips/tricks that they picked up?

I think you need to create your own font with a font editor. Use 100%
peal ex macropearl for the holos with the alps method.

If you're not talking about the most recently issued Mass IDs, you can
either use 100% macropearl or 50% micropearl and 50% macropearl...
I've seen 100% micropearl work fine, but I hear the 50/50 is the ideal
mixture. As for the font, use Switzerland Narrow. You can download it
online and it pretty much matches up perfectly with the MA ID font.
Also, I found that the colors are more easily made if you make your
template from scratch, rather than modifying a template. You can find
state seals and an outline of the state on several websites -- hell,
just use Google Image search. The rest of it is just photoshop skill.

Do you guys think it's possible to not use the alps method? I don't
have an alps printer and I can't find one readily available...any other
methods you know of that would work with this (kind of complex) seal?
(I have the exact thing in B&W waiting to be created).

Also (for MA) what size teslin and pouch should i get? links would be
great.

thanks

Look on ebay for an alps md-1000. They normally go for 200-300 dollars
but they are well worth it. The photo-ez method is tough to do with
the MA holograms because the holograms are pretty detailed.

Swizerland Narrow is modeled off of Helvetica Narrow except it's a free
font as opposed to paying $30 for a bunch of letters (for Helvetica).
I think the only difference is a couple of letters have slightly curved
tips, but for the most part, it's an exact match. It'll pass the book
in either case.

We're looking for MA stuff here... Besides, what version of noblecat's
temp do you have? If it's anything less than 5 and you're tryin' to
sell it for profit, you're a douche. Anyone can find that shit online
if they look -- it's not your work and you don't have the right to
charge for it. If it IS version 5, it only works on the person's
computer to whom it was sent due to the encoding. Don't try sellin'
other peoples' temps -- it's just wrong.
