the jerm's software only has az.idf and ca.idf files, can I just copy
and edit one of those files so its from another state? anyone mess with
this at all?

What is "jerm's software"? And what's an idf file?

Haven't messed with it myself. I imagine most states are pretty much
the same, much like the 2D barcodes...

jerms program i think is in visual basic, i havent seen it in a while.
But if it is in vb then yeah, it should be pretty easy to just open up
in a text editor and find the export lines and change them to what you
want to export.

just grab a real id and reverse engineer what lines of code are needed
on the mag strip
