CA temp?

v5 is out.. but it has a software protection on it so that it can only
work on the computer that nobelcat gave it out to. So like, if you
bought a copy of from nobelcat a few years ago before he got busted
then u can only use that copy on that one computer, which really sucks.
Anyways, only like 20 people ever got a copy of it and there was a
crack made for it so it would be useable on other computers, but u can
only open it up and when u try and create an id with it, it will give u
an error because of the driver license font.. and even when u try and
get every font possible that would work for it, still doesnt .. soo
w/e.. lol.... u guys should look for mr. evil's temp cus he made a
good one.. dunno where people can get temps these days, some people
have DVDS that were created with lots of nifty programs, tutorials, and
templates... but unless u find someone with that that can hook u up.. u
are pretty much shit out of luck. I guess you could try limewire or
kazaa, but I bet those temps really suck, soo u gotta just make your
own.

Sean - im impressed that you actually made up your own temp in
illustrator cus I hate illustrator its such a pain in the ass, and for
youto make your own fonts for it too is pretty impressive, cus i mean
nobelcat and thejerm made all the fonts you need for CA. THe jerm
made the DMV and the CALIFORNIA fonts, you use to be able to download
them from his website, but its been down for a long ass time.

I have tried to get my hands on the nobelcat templates just out of
curiosity. I didn't know they existed before I started making my IDs,
and ended up just making my own template in Illustrator, all the way
down to the custom DMV font. It was an extremely laborious process and
I was really hoping I would see someone else's templates and confirm
that my own were superior, but I can't say I've ever seen the nobelcat
ones to compare. Are they vector?

nobelcat's v5 is in illustrator 10 which means vector. Anyways,
currently there is a coder that is updating nobel's v4 so that it will
replicate his v5, (but in photoshop cs2) hopefully it will be all done
by sometime in january.

Is it possible to copy individual parts of v5 (I'm assuming the
template comes in psd format like the version I have) into a new
template, thus making an identical template that isn't restricted?

hey man. nah.. v5 doesnt come with a temp. in v5 each time u hit
"create" it will create the entire temp by scratch into illustrator in
which ever 8 up spot u pick within the prog. In v5 u get tocontrol
every aspect of the template from the widths of the lines, to the
colors and everything.
