Has anyone dealt with camouflageid.com, and why are there cards so
expensive? If anyone knows where to get one cheaper please email me. I
don't need a full package like that. I just want one of the Maine ids.

I can tell FOR A FACT that those 3 state seals at the top of the page
are what I upload 6 or 7 years ago, and blackmarketpress now has them
on their site. As a matter of fact, I'm looking at the book I got them
from right now. Any site that puts up someone else's work, and claims
it as their own, is probably not one you want to do business with. Of
course, that's just my opinion. - ncXVI

I sent a e-mail to there support about buying just the DL and asked
about this too. Here's what they sent back:

"Thanks for contacting CamID Support. Camouflage ID, nor anyone in
their right mind, would lay claim to the creation of any government
seal or coat of arms. They are the 'work' of the governments. No where
on our site is such a claim made. Our use of these seals was out of
convenience while the site was being constructed, and will eventually
be replaced as intended (when the site is re-coded soon for SSL) with
the actual product photos they link to. This, we feel, is a logical
progression. As to your friend's claim that we somehow violated their
digital rights, I highly disagree. Our temporary seal images are
inexpensive pay-to-download vector files that were modified in Adobe
Illustrator to match the color scheme of our site. Anyone can buy them
on the web, as we did, from a large number of sites for a total under
10.00 USD. If someone feels an infringement has taken place, they are
welcomed to contact us for a resolution.

As to the issue of single cards, we do not sell single cards. If all
you require is a license, you are more than likely attempting to use
our products for something they were not designed for. We specialize in
asset protection, not underaged drinking, and our clientele is made up
of individuals who require the full use of our packages. If you do not
require the full use of the packages, they are likely not
cost-effective to you and you would fare better looking elsewhere.

WTF ever! I can't buy from them anyway because there way too expensive
just to get a nov. They make you buy a pocket full of ID so you can
prove to even GOD I guess who you are! I don't need all that extra
stuff. I'm not trying to be The Extreme Offshore Banking Man. But they
are right - I do just want to suck up some beers. lol

No one accused of them of copyright infringement, either. I said in my
last post that I copied the seals FROM A BOOK about the United States
and uploaded them to the net, so either YOU claimed copyright
infringement, or they're trying to raise a smoke-screen. Most of their
links don't work, either, I saw. And if they're making FAKE ID, why
does it matter whether you're using to open a bank account offshore or
drink a beer? Either would be illegal with a FAKE ID. I wouldn't trust
them with that much of my money. - ncXVI

I didn't say copyright infringement at all. I just pointed out that
someone I've asked on the web said they had provided those seals many
years ago and now they were using someone elses work there and thats
not very professional. Its cool tho. I found what I need for a HELL of
alot less $$$. Maybe its not going to be as good as there's but it's
good enuff for what I need.
