id thickness

when making id cards, what is the thickness you want? I know it changes
state to state. is it 10mil or 30mil

To the best of my knowledge all states are around 30mil (I believe it's
10mils of teslin sandwiched between 10mils of laminate on either side).
At least that's how it goes for my state and a few others I've seen.
