need help with 2d barcode

i am trying to work out a 2d barcode, I tried PDFCenter, but I cant
seem to copy and paste the barcode i made or even save it.

also, i have gone to http://www.turbulence.org/Works/swipe/barcode.html
and tried to decode some scanned barcodes I have but they werent able
to read them, can any one help maybe send me to where I can find a
tutorial, esp in regards to a az dl
