ALPS 1000 Finish Cart Alignment

Alright, so I just got an ALPS 1000 not too long ago and I just tried
printing with the finish cartridges... It would seem every other
cartridge prints flawlessly (black, cyan, magenta, etc) but as soon as
I try doing Spot-coloring with the finish cartridge it screws up in one
way or another. The first time, the entire image was printed about an
inch to the right of where it would have been had I printed in black,
the second time, I was missing an entire line of the image, and the
third time, half the image was a quarter-inch to the right of the other
half. If anyone could tell me how to fix this problem, it would be
much appreciated -- I tried changing Finish carts but to no avail.
Thanks.

well it shouldn't be an alignment issue because the AlpsMD re-aligns
itself everytime it changes cartridges. make sure you got the
cartirdges installed in the right direction (B side up). and make sure
the cartridges are good (i.e. not used ones that came with the
printer). beyond that, i'd say you should e-mail Alps, thier customer
service is excellent, at least in my experience.

try cleaning the insides of your printer with an air canister... cus it
might be too dirty and then throwing off your alignment
