I have GBC HeatSeal H100, but without temperature control, I'm getting
consistently fucked up lamination. Pretty much every ID I do is coming
out with tiny air bubbles or huge unlaminated pockets that show up when
you bend the ID. I don't have the money to blow on a PL4A, and I'm only
using 7 mil glossy pouches anyway (no TXP) so I want to try to figure
out how to do a better job with an iron. I was using one prior to
purchasing the laminator, but stopped because it was too inconsistent.
After experimenting more, I've found that half my problem before was
caused by having it cranked up to full heat - 5 seconds on each side
got the full thing laminated, but it was causing air bubbles too. I'm
using lower heat now, but I'm still having trouble getting the whole
thing laminated evenly front and back. Does anyone have any
suggestions? I know I'm not the only cheapskate that's not using a $250
laminator.
