MA IDs / ALPS Holo method
(too old to reply)

So I'm interested in making IDs..specifically MA IDs.

I've ordered the following:

ALPS MD-5000
PL4A Laminator
TXP butterfly pouches
10mil inkjet teslin

I can pick up pearlex paint locally once I get to that step, and not
sure how to go about the UV..but I can learn that later.

My question is this: Does anyone have the archives from
securitywiz.net or any other site, contaning the alps holo method?
I've searched and haven't been able to find it. I need all the
information/templates I can get since I'm pretty much going to have to
just learn as I go.

I understand nothing is free and while I don't really have any id
related items to share, I can maybe trade some software or $$. Please
reply or e-mail. Thanks.

Inkjet teslin?? If you bought the other stuff you need an Epson
Durabrite series(R800 is the top notch model but a C84/C86 will do the
job fine). With those printers you can use laser teslin which is
SP1000 not SPID1000. The method is pretty self explanatory. From
reading secuirtywiz you basically just powder the inside of your pouch
using a correct mixture of pearlex powders and then print it with the
finish mode/ribbon.

I actually picked up some laser teslin and inkjet teslin because I
wasn't sure which would work best. If I have the md-5000, I was under
the impression that I wouldn't need an inkjet printer. Do I need an
ALPS AND an inkjet?

Securitywiz doesn't have any info up - so i was hoping someone would
have a copy of it they could post/send me. I've never done this, so I
need the most detailed instructions I can get.

thanks

for uv get it at www.practicingperfection.7p.com you can also order
pearlex there too! ... And if you are gonna print UV onto teslin, i
have found that its better to use inkjet teslin, because the coating
that is on the laser teslin makes the uv come out duller than if u used
inkjet teslin. Just something i have noticed.

Doesnt matter thaaat much which kind of teslin you use. Just get a nice
printer and you are set!

also, getting an md-1000 is better than the 5000. I think if you want
to use the 5000 you need to make sure u have the upgrade chip addon
installed on it.. but i may be wrong..

Thanks for the 7p link.
My teslin/pouches came today. My PL4A is coming tomorrow.
The eBay auction for the MD-5000 fell thru so I am still looking for a
printer. I'll hopefully be getting an MD-1000 off of eBay soon...

Does anyone have the alps holo method document that they can e-mail me?

Still looking for that..and MA template.
$$.
thanks.
